On Wed the 28th, I harvested the biggest doe I have ever taken...she and her two yearlings had come in right under my stand at 6:00pm, earlier at about 5:00pm I saw a nice big 6 pointer but he didn't offer me a clean shot....this is the 2nd time I've seen him, so maybe next time! But back to the doe...She was about 10 yards quartering away, her two yearlings were right under my stand when I drew and shot her..the one yearling actually looked up and made me prior to the shot, but never did the head bob thing, or stomped her foot, and just went back to eating acorns. Once I knew the yearlings were under my stand, and I didn't have a couple set of eyes on me, I drew and let my arrow fly, it was a perfect shot, she ran about 30 yards, and piled up, took me forever to get her out, had to call a friend and have him come and help me, as you can see from the photo, I'm drenched with sweat, but well worth the harvest. -- Van Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
