Tominator
What's the difference between 2 3/4 dram and 3 dram shotshells? And please, spare me the obvious "about 1/4" answer.

AJ
Re: AJ or Anyone Else Yep, it sort of means velocity but it depends on the load as to the velocity difference. It means drams equivalent of black powder. Its an old archaiac bogus method of measurement. Slowly but surely the ammo makers are getting rid of the dram equivalent and just mark the weight and velocity on the box.

Guest Xen
Re: AJ or Anyone Else i liked a post i saw about a guy trying to convert drams into grains to figure out a load, at least he realized something was up when he couldn't fit that much powder into a shotgun shell
