Guest andymansavage
Re: shockwave question This bullet is the Hornady SST in a different box. They are awesome. I have dropped 2 bucks and seen an elk go 10 yds after being hit. I shoot the 300gr version in .50 cal.

AJ
Re: shockwave question They are fine. Put the bullet where it needs to be and you are good to go.

archerjg
Re: shockwave question I shoot these out of a Black Diamond in 250 grain and the deer I shot last year had a big exit hole in him. I like the round myself. Archerjg
AJ
Re: shockwave question This is whats left of a 250 gr SST after it dropped my buck last year. It was shot about 50 yards from my Savage ML. It was pushed a bit faster than your T7 load will but it hit the buck in the spine and lodged under the hide on the exit side. The deer was a biggun at just over 200# weighed with guts. As you can see it expanded very nicely. The core did seperate from the jacket. I have not weighed the remainder to see what the retention is but it was enough.
