However it's the perfect time to go on a stalk in a standing cornfield. I have done that when it's been windy. (not recommended, won't ever do it again ) Seriously, on really windy days, sometimes I'll go walking/stalking in the corn. 2 or 3 years ago I snuck up on a decent 8pt that had no idea I was there until I stood up. LOL, wish y'all could have seen the look on his face. I can attest that the deer let their guard down in the corn. Up in a tree on windy days is a little tricky/crazy, but kind of fun too. What I've found is that if I can keep my bow arm steady I'm okay. If it's blowing harder than that I just stay home or find a different set up out of the wind a bit. The rumors of 30-40 mph winds seem to be just that...rumors. They are supposed to be only about 10mph. So I'm going out. Wish me luck!
