axman
Well i am begining to think rattling does work..Sunday i rattled in a 6 pointer to my buddy who made a crapola shot, which we blood trailed in heavy catails only to lose the blood trail after 100 yards due to poor shot and bad yardage estimation on his part...And then today my buddy from work who lives in pa rattled in a nice 10 pointer that he ended up not finding ...So i am going to try and see if i can rattle me one in to shooting range tomorrow what you guys think to early? PAbowhunter4life
Re: Well.. Nope, not too early at all, but I wouldn't be SLAMMING The antlers together yet. Right now is the time to simulate some light tickling and sparring. Save the heavy stuff for another couple of weeks
Master_Chief
Re: Well.. I agree with PA. Very light "tickling" of the antlers.
Tominator
Re: Well.. I think some light sparring type rattling will work. I tried some opening morning and got zero reaction out of a buck that was trailing a doe. I haven't done any agressive stuff yet.
ruttinbuc
Re: Well.. If this rain stops sometime today that is what I intend to do. Going to go sit in the corn and bang em' just a bit! The dominent buck will think there is a new sheriff in town trying to take his job! But I don't see the rain stopping anytime soon.
