stevebeilgard Posted October 18, 2005 Report Share Posted October 18, 2005 well, next saturday is another years effort to get a sick kid an elk. for those of you who don't remember my last years effort, see the realtree journal archives for april 2005, blakes bull. i took a 13 year old cancer patient out, and we lucked out on a nice bull. this years kid had a brain tumor. hope it's all gone, but who knows. what i do know is that i did a bit of scouting, saw about 100 elk, with 8 good bulls worth shooting. we should have a good time. remember, this bull, like blakes bull, is on public ground, and open to other hunters. so, one never knows. but, with age, comes a bit of deviousness. i'll just cheat, and go where the elk are. anyway, i'd appreciate a few prayers. i'm trying to kill one of gods great animals, and can't without his help. if i were smart, i'd post some pictures. but, i'm just too dumb. norwegian, you see. or at least it's in the mix.... lol. check out the hunt of a lifetime organization at www.huntofalifetime.org. the make a wish foundation will not let a kids "wish" be a hunting trip. so, i dropped make a wish from my donation list, and go with hunt of a lifetime. they would love your donation. some things you could donate are air travel miles, goods, services, whatever you can. even money. lol will have an update sunday, i hope. if not, saturday didn't produce what i think it will, and am back out hunting. heck, sometimes a 6 point bull elk takes more than a day... lol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I loved the story of Blake's Bull in my NAHC mag, and I'm hoping to read of the success of this hunt in there too. All the best of luck man!
