preacherman Posted October 19, 2005 Report Share Posted October 19, 2005 Well, I was leaving the stand a little early tonight and rounded a curve and there he stood. A very nice buck. He was at least 18 inches wide and I believe either an 8 or a 10. He just stood there, I pulled out my range finder and he was 67 yards. I said, "No way can I shoot him" so I just stood there and he did as well. Finally, he just eased off through the field and into a pine thicket. I said, "I know where he is going and I am going to go and cut him off." When they leave this field they always go down a logging road. So I left and literally ran to get there and by there we met again at 5 yards! He turned and ran off with no shot opportunity given! Oh, well...........I know where he is!
