whitetailtrax
I'm getting ready to purchase my son his first gun and wanted to get some opinions. He is a lefty and the used market for left hand guns isn't great. So my question is, does it really matter if he shoots a right handed gun? A buddy has a 7600 for sale and I'm wondering if the ejected casings would come back in his face??? Any help would be appreciated.
AJ
Re: Lefty shooting right hand gun??? Nope the empty casings will not eject into his face. One of my buddies is a leftie and shoots a right handed 760 with no problem. A couple options are the Ruger #1, the H&R/NEF Handi Rifle, and the T/C Encore. Any of these guns are easily used by either side, comfortably.
iron buck
Re: Lefty shooting right hand gun??? I am right handed but left eye dominant. I shoot left handed. I own and shoot a 7600, I love the rifle and it gives me no problems at all. Besides left hand bolt rifles, I also own & comfortably use Marlin 336s, a Ruger #1 and several Savage 99s. All work well for right or left handed shooters.
fisherguy
Re: Lefty shooting right hand gun??? I have a remington 7600 and know a lefty that shoots one with no trouble. I will add that mine has been a pretty useless piece of junk and i am getting rid of it. Maybe i just got teh lemon in the run though, since i have heard of many satisfied owners. RangerClay
Re: Lefty shooting right hand gun??? If this helps. My Dad is left handed and he shoots a Browning A-5 Sweet Sixteen. If he needs a shotgun they work well with lefties. Ranger
