bghunter777 Posted October 20, 2005 Report Share Posted October 20, 2005 well I got 1 I will keep it short I decided instead of driving to walk the full way to my stand about 1.5 miles I ussually drive the ol logging road but thought that I would mix it up a little keep the deer guessing rite after 1st lite I had a doe rite under me a year and a half 6 point came in charging and ran the doe off then began feeding rite under me. shortly after I had another buck nose to the ground grunting come rite in I had to make a quick descision and decided to take him he was not what I had thought I was trying to hold out for a little bigger deer but not bad. He was an 2.5 yr old 8pt about 15 wide I hit him a little high angling foward must have caught the spine on the way in he dropped and then got to his feet and staggered about 10 yards before falling for good what an awesome hunt. although not the biggest when they are acting like bucks and chasing does that is fun I was a liitle surprised to see to bucks rutting pretty hard makes me a little sad to be done Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm majorly bummed i'm going on vacation next week b/c things are heating up. These early muzzleloader hunters and youth/senior rifle might have things stirred up as well.
