My life is a Circus!

Minus the peanut vendors. Im just spilling so if you dont feel like reading rambling feel free to move on.

I have a small apartment on my place. It has a kitchen sink, cabinets, bathroom/ shower, heat and air, etc. When we first bought the place we used it for storage. Shortly there after a girl we know needed a place to live. Her husband was running around, he tried to walk on to a Basketball team in Kansas, and he pretty much left her high and dry. They had a little girl together (she is about 2). He literally waited until they were married with a child before he ran. I offered it to her and her daughter until they got their feet back under them. I really appreciate her parents, they are amazing people but I understand why she wouldnt move back in with them. She lived there for roughly a year. Two weeks ago they finally got everything of hers out of the appartment. She is doing much better. She has a life in Tulsa, a good job, etc. Her soon to be ex got another girl pregnant so her hopes of getting back with him are crushed which is best.

My apartment is free!! Woohoo! Can anyone say hunting room/ taxidermy/ jam room/ etc!

Wrong... My wife was trying to get some sleep. Gracey kept her up most of the night. She heard a nock at the door at around 9:00. She went to the door to find a friend of ours standing there crying. This girl is a great girl but she too is a single mom. She was in a bad job and her dad, who owns a trucking company, offered her a job. They also told her to move back home until she could pay stuff off and get back on her feet. She lived with them about a year and worked for her dad the past 6-months..... Until recently when her parents went postal on her and told her they were taking her baby away (who is roughly 9-10). This girl is actually a good girl. She doesnt drink, smoke, run around, etc. In fact she's only been on a couple of dates in several years. She loves her little girl so I cant figure out why they were trying to take her away.

anyway.... My wife invites her in and she literally burst into tears as she walks in the house. All she could say is, "Im in so much trouble." Turns out her parents lit in the middle of her last night and she packed up everything she could and moved out. Her sister drove from Stillwater to help her and they had been driving around since 3:00a.m. trying to figure out what she was going to do. Six hours later she is standing on my door step. My wife looked out to the car to find the back loaded with clothes. She of course told her we couldnt help her with money right now. We just had a baby and money is tight to say the least. She did of course offer her the appartment. She's moving in as we speak. I have to help her get her horse this evening.

Because she was working for her dad she is now unemployed. I know this girl and I know she wont just "milk" this. ...and to think I was just talking to my wife (last night) about not having to heat the appartment this year!... Im glad god uses us like this and it makes me feel good to know people know they can turn to us. On the other side of the coin, sometimes I just want to shake my head...

After reading your post I am left shaking my head also.

I am shaking it in approval of what you are doing for your fellow man.

I hope no one takes advantage of your good heart to the point that you will quit reaching out to others.

I hope all goes well.

Re: My life is a Circus!

It was kind of a rough night gang. She asked me to take my horse trailer and get her little girl's horse from her parents house. My brother had my trailer so he brought it home and decided to go with us incase there were any fireworks. She also wanted to get some of her personal stuff while she was there. This happened once before and her dad sold all of her stuff. Yeah...... Real good guy.

We made it over there and my brother and I waited at the truck. She went to get her horse and some of her stuff. He came out yelling, "Who's that with you?" Like she brought some muscle. Sne explained who I was and he could only say, "Youre not leaving with anything. She's not taking me for a ride!" Yep, this is her blood father.

Thank god I have christ because I was about to put 200lbs behind my right fist. He stomped around and then "Came to see who was out there." He literally never made it out of his yard. I think deep down he knows he's not as big of a man as he was acting like. Neither Tim nor I ever said a single word and yet he starts strutting around and yelling, "You two get off my place right now! I mean now! Get in your truck and go. Jen can meet you at the end of the drive (Its dark their drive is a rough, rocky, old drive through a small patch of woods).

I felt horrible for leaving her but what do you do? I dont know this guy from Adam, im just trying to help out a friend but he could have very well had a gun, again it was dark. Reluctintly we climbed into my truck and pulled just over half way down the drive. I parked at the bottom of a hill so he couldnt see us.

It wasnt 5-minutes later and here Jen came with her horse. I feel really bad for this girl. Putting up with this from an ex-boyfriend is one thing but from your own blood parents! They wouldnt even let her take bedding or anything. Great, great people. Salt of the earth. mad.gif

I told her to call the Sherrif. I dont think she wants to but she really has no choice. She is losing a lot. She has bought countless tools to help her dad including a backhoe and cement mixer. She has a herd of goats that she could sale but her dad being a good man and all, he's not going to allow her to take her goats. He also told her he was going to kill her two pet cats. Great, great guy. Again, he better be glad I have Christ.

Jen is going to church with us Sunday. I dont think she's ever much been. This will make a huge difference for her and hopefully help her to understand the world isnt really like this, most of us anyway. Enough about my saga.... Thanks for the kind words gang. Ill keep you updated.
