BAR trigger is too tight

Nope, no one makes an after market trigger for the BAR. The trigger does not come with adjustments but it can be altered by a good gunsmith. He will have to hone some parts and change the relationship of the trigger/sear/hammer combination.

Unfortunately with todays "I'll sue you" for anything mentality, many gunsmiths will not alter guns, and specially not a safety item. You may need to shop around for a different gunsmith.

Waiting until a couple weeks before the gun season is not the best idea as they have a backlog of work to do and getting your gun back before hunting season is not high on their list.

I have never experienced a tight trigger on my browning bar.

It's all in what you are used to. After a few months of shooting my varmint guns, a 3 pound trigger feels like a ton to me. Most of my varmint guns are under 1 pound. Some down to 2 ounces.

Replying with my trigger feels fine to me, means nothing unless a weight is given. Weight can not be determined by feel by most shooters, it takes a scale to measure the pull. Also not all triggers feel the same. A 3 pound trigger that is crisp with zero slack feels like a 1 pound trigger to the untrained. I have had 1/2 pound triggers that sucked since they had so much creep.

Actually him replying that the trigger feels fine to him means everything. It means it feels good to him. Why must he measure the pull?

You are correct, it means something...to him, but only to him. For others to use it as a gauge on performance it is useless without a quantifiable reference. Hence the weight requirement. It's like me entering a discussion about fast cars and saying "my car is fast". Without a reference speed someone else does not know how fast it really goes, or what my idea of fast is.

You just said that a trigger with the same pull weight feels different. Like I said, if it feels good to the shooter who cares what it feels like to others. If you can't quantify between two triggers with the same pull weight without pulling both of them it is useless information.
