Not sure about where or when but the idea just popped into my head.. thought I would give it a try... Any suggestions... thought about maybe Cabelas in KC or maybe the Topeka Bowhunters Club they always have a big 2-day shoot and camping... Wow i didnt realize everybody would want to do it so soon... thats cool though.. umm the shoot that is in Topeka is like at the end of the summer though.. guess that is a ways away.... Although every year there is a Boat & Outdoor show at the Topeka Expocenter.... hasnt been very good last few years though... I'm still favorin Cabelas just for an excuse to go there.. havent been since like July for my b-day... wow thats gotta be some kinda record for me.... Im up for whenever..Turkey hunt could be good but a lunch meeting at Cabellas may be a good starting place. Then those that can afford to hunt can branch off and go on an evening hunt, or even do an AM hunt before the lunch, while those that can't can just hang out at the Cabelas restraunt. Heck, I saw a flock of 22 toms the other day, and there are 2 or 3 other flocks that have a lot of young jakes in them, probably 200-300 birds total on the ranch, come on! Plus a little private land (500acres) of private that I got the hookup with. If you all wanted to come up and camp around Perry Lake or even Clinton Lake which has quite a bit of public land. Let me know and I can get some details for yall. Ryan and I could be designated cameramen... although I havent saved up enough for a good camera yet.(christmas list idea) Gotta make the trip to Cabelas though.
