AdvantageTimberLou
Guys and gals, please take the time and read the below link and please use your safety harness while in your treestand! This gentleman lost his life and a wife is without a husband and two children are without a dad. Please wear your harness and think of your children, wife, husband, mom, dad, sister, brother, etc. http://www.mlive.com/news/bctimes/index.ssf?/base/news-6/113025330943750.xml&coll=
BIG_BUCK_1
Re: Michigan Bowhunter Dies from fall every year more and more people die from falling out of treestands and you would think people would get the fact that you need to wear a safty harness

Guest bowhunter56
Re: Michigan Bowhunter Dies from fall yes, you must wear a harness, but 40' up, don't understand that either.
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Michigan Bowhunter Dies from fall The police say 40 feet up and the family says 30 feet. Either way, both seem excessively high to me. I hunt at 15 feet and I have had deer within 5 yds of my stand and with wind swirling. No need to go that high up. You go higher up you then have more branches to deal with, with the surrounding trees. Whatever the case, prayers go out to this family! WIwhitetailhunter
Re: Michigan Bowhunter Dies from fall The cost of a harness is a small price to pay considering what it could cost you without one.

too_pointer
Re: Michigan Bowhunter Dies from fall That could be one law I would certainly agree with, make it mandatory. I'm happy to see many treestands now come with safey harnesses. too_
