Griz Posted November 8, 2005 Report Share Posted November 8, 2005 Before I start I got a new Switchback today... I took off and went to the dealers today with my Switchback ready for a fight. When I walked in and showed them my bow and told them want happened, he said Hmmm! and gave me a new bow. Well that took the fight out of me real quick. I couldn't thank the guy enough... That's what I call some awesome customer service right there... Ok! To All You Switchback Owners Out There, here is the deal. At the top of your bow were your cable hooks up at the little bracket on the side is called a QCC. What happens is that Zebra String Company did not put a twist in the loop...You follow me so far... What happens is because the string in the loop is straight it will cut into the QCC causeing it to cut the loop like a knife making the bow blow apart. Check those loops... If by some chance those strans are straight take it to your dealer and bring it to there attention... I beleave that this was a fluke, but on the Mathews site it has happened to some other folks to... I fill like I was very lucky that I didn't get badly hurt in some way and I would hate for the same thing to happen to someone else. Because the next person may not be very lucky... That surely is service no doubt about that at all... What a relief UH griz ?? Now I don't shoot a Mathews but, I'm checking out my Alpine for this problem,, even tho I just had a new Winners Choice String put on.... better safe than sorry....
