shockwave
Re: Do you hunt with a stabilizer? not only does a stabilizer, stablilize your bow it also reduces noise...
buckee
Re: Do you hunt with a stabilizer? I gotta get me a couple of those S-coils some day. I use an old relic, longer stabilizer, but I find it a necessity. I find it helps stabilize the bow, before the shot too. If you are practicing with it on...why, would you take it off to go hunting ??

joebobhunter4
Re: Do you hunt with a stabilizer? i use one when antelope hunting or sneaking on things where it involves crawling it supports your arm because i use my left arm on the ground and i hold my bow with the right arm and use the stabalizer to push on the ground to keep me from falling over when i crawl lol

c_lou
Re: Do you hunt with a stabilizer? Much like Tominator...I to have a 7" Doinker. Along the same lines, I also shoot with my quiver attached to my bow. It's how I practice, so it's how I hunt.
VTbowman
Re: Do you hunt with a stabilizer? When I shot compounds I did have one for many years. But noticed it did not make a difference on my bow (Mathews SQ2) with or without it. To me "stabilizers" of today are more for vibration dampening then stabilization. Unless you get one of those 3 foot long jobbies like some of the pro shooters use. I took mine off an appreciated the 8 oz less weight and more manuverabiliy on my bow. JMO I now shoot trad bows and do not have anything on it except a piece of seal skin on the shelf and some cat whiskers. LOL
Mach1
Re: Do you hunt with a stabilizer? S-Coil. Got it for $7 at Walmart a few weeks ago on sale, so I bought my brother one too. It's crazy that the Walmarts around have already put ALL archery equipment on sale.

Jeramie
Re: Do you hunt with a stabilizer? Yep, I hunt with a Tru-Glow Doinker. I use to use just a plain ole 4" Cobra. I love this stabilizer. I know they make a lot better ones out there but ive been very happy with this.

Illinoisbowhunter
Re: Do you hunt with a stabilizer? GKF Tranquilizer Stabilizer, helps even out the weight and dampen the noise & vibration
double_drop
Re: Do you hunt with a stabilizer? I bought one of the new limb saver stablizers. Had a cobra one on my bow that has gone through every bow i have ever used. I think they work well and they do reduce vibration which in return reduses noise. BowJoe
Re: Do you hunt with a stabilizer? I have a Wally World special that I mainly just bought to match the camo pattern on my Mathew's bow. I think I may take it off though just to see how my bow shoots. I don't really see the point if you already shoot a quiet bow like Mathew's. Any other bow and I would say sure, you should use one but then again I haven't shot or practiced with a lot of other bows. I really don't see sense in buying a light weight bow and then making it heavier. Again, personal comfort and preference play a factor in how well you shoot so it's up to you whether you use one or not.
