birddog Posted November 14, 2005 Report Share Posted November 14, 2005 Hey guys, I have not even posted this on my own site However, after 5 years here, I wanted to share with you all that "the last man standing" is going down!!! After seeing JB's posts, I got stage fright and havent' posted yet...but on Halloween night I bit the bullet! I dressed up in an ape suit, carved a pumpkin and affixed the ring to the lid: She wasn't expecting me, but had lots of trick or treaters: When I came to the door, I kinda pushed my way in......about hyperventilating, I made sure she was not comfortable with this intruder, and finally pointed to the pumpkin....she lifted the lid and the ring was attached to the top...(she didnt' even see it, as she was too scared of what would jump out of the pumpkin:) Well, when she saw it, I removed my mask and asked....she said YES!!! Well, all: I was voted: "Last to go down"...and I prided myself on that....but I have a great Canadian Gal, whom I love very much: And she tolerates me Sooo, according to one friend now I can hunt "as often as he" (not much)...but I think this was perfect, she is so busy planning, I have deer season all to myself Anywho, here are a few pics [image] And Finally the "Mushy One"..... We are both 30, never been married....and I can tell the best story about our meeting: We had met, we decided to date...but...... I was off to bear hunt: I told my "new girlfriend" that I would take her out to dinner on Thursday night: Well...I left Tuesday, I hunted hard Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: I was trying to get a bear from the ground....Saturday came.....no phone....Sunday went, I was about out of clothes:...I hunt Monday and didn't see a bear..I drive home and stop in at Trish's place...she (in tears) says she has been worried about me: I said " What do you mean....she thought I would have been there Thursday...Heck, I told her......I am 3 days early! " She smiles and says "I see how this is going to be".....she puts up with my outdoor passion: And she loves me even though I hunt a lot and tend to be a bit selfish: And I love her for that: Thanks for all the congrats: Seems the ol' birddog had met his match!
