AJ Posted November 14, 2005 Report Share Posted November 14, 2005 Re: Rust Use some 0000 steel wool and lightly burnish the barrel. Do not remove the blueing, just the rust. Treat with rust preventative. All the oil on the barrel is doing is keeping the rust from getting more moisture. You have to remove the rust not cover it up.
