T/C Bl Diamond users

I know we have several who use this gun. Came highly recommended a year ago. What loads are you guys shooting? AJ, I know you have this gun. What's working for you? I'm still getting to know my gun and would like some input.

Mine shot 3 Pyrodex pellets, CCI 209M primers, and Hornady XTP 240 gr saboted bullets into acceptable groups (1.5" groups). I then found Precision Rifle's bullets, and found the CCI Musket caps, 3 Pyrodex Pellets, and a 235 gr QT 40 sabot shot extremely well (~1" groups)! I shot my buddies BD with the same load and it was the twin to mine. It liked the same load. He did not want the recoil from a 150 gr charge so I dropped it to 2 pellets and it still shot very acceptable groups (1.25" groups). I sold my gun to another friend a few years ago.

I tried the QT 40 with 3 pellets and a 209 and got 4" groups. I made a few calls to Cecil and we could not figure out what the problem was until he asked me what the ignition source was. When I said 209s, he said, there's the problem. I swapped to musket caps and its like night and day. Tiny groups, less fouling, more better.

In my T/C Black Diamond .50 cal. I use 90 grains (Volume) of loose "777" RS behind a .452" Hornady 250 grain XTP bullet in a "High Pressure" sabot, fired by a 209 primer. I found this is the most accurate load for my T/C.

I use 110 grains of Pyrodex Select RS pushing a 295 grain Powerbelt Bullet. I've also shot the 348 which is even more accurate. My BD tends to like the heavier bullets

I use 100 grains Pyrodex pellets. Remington clean bore 209 primers and T/C 250 grain shockwave sabots. Great grouping out to 100 yds.

My best groups come from 2 (50) grain pyrodex pellets behind a 250 grain T/C Shockwave bullet. I have three rounds touching at 50 and 100 yards. I am using Winchester 209 Primers as well.

I shoot 100 grains of loose 777. It's pushing a 300 grain Barnes expander sabot. 209 ignition. I'll never switch!!

i shoot a 44cal 250 pistol bullet with a knight sabot and 100grains on triple7 powder and a 209 win. primer

My BD patterns much better with the heavier bullet. I've tried 250 gr and it's OK, but it's better with a 295 gr and even better with a 348 gr. I normally just shoot the 295 gr. I'm able to pattern 2-3 inch groups at 100 yards, open sights.

I use 777 pellets and regular hornady sabots and 45 caliber pistol bullets 244 grain...shoots great

Using remington no 11 percussion caps, 120 grains loose pyrodex, and 240 grain tc xtp mag sabots.

Tried the winchester 209 primers, and went back to the caps.
