WvBowhunterKE
Have you guys ever heard of deer apples. I guess they are small rotten apples. I am not sure they are legal to feed to the deer on the off season, but I am not sure if there is any illegal things to feed them. If you could clear this up it would be appreciated.. -- Heard about them from a friend --
AJ
Re: Deer apples ? I used to hunt an apple orchard and often people would come in to buy "deer apples". They are just apples that have hit the ground or "drops" as they are known in the business. If you can get apples after hunting season, you may be able to feed them to deer. Check your regulations. Bears like them a lot!
wtnhunt
Re: Deer apples ? Never heard of "deer apples". Deer sure do like just slightly turning rotten pears. Kind of makes me wonder if relocating fruit is the same as baiting. I have taken pears back to my camera, but dont exactly hunt over them. If you hunt a fruit tree that is dropping or a stand over a pile of fruit that you relocated from a tree nearby, what really is the difference?
