December Bucks

Well its Almost December fellow hunters, and I the ruts almost drawing to a close.

Always in the past I have only hunted up north, and by December the deer are all leaving the area and going to "yard up" in distant locations. This is my first year hunting farm country(new property) that the deer don't leave for the winter, they just stay and do what they do.

Now, what will bucks be doing this period of time, all December pretty much, we have lots of snow now and the temperature is getting cooler and cooler. Will they be just straight bed, food, bed, food or what?

By the way, the rest of my season is until Dec. 31st only bow, so what should I be looking for, set up near, will they still be able to smell the apples I put out under the snow?

Thanks, Mossy
