When I staple them, some of them always seem to come loose due to the staples coming out of the tree. When I nail them, the small nail head pops through the sign and get the same result. I own too much property to cut up expensive plywood. I was wondering if you guys use something different that keeps them where they are supposed to be. I don't know Ken,, staples just don't seem to stay put,,, I have used roofing nails with some small plastic washers to keep the heads from pulling through the paper..... I did this with a snowmobile trail sign 6-7 years ago and it is still there! Just doing this as you put signs back up would be easy... Plasti-Grip IV Flat PM Washers 1-3/4" diameter high-density polypropylene flat washer with ribs to stiffen the plate can be screwed, nailed or shot for locking the base coat and attaching EPS or rigid foam board to various substrates. [/ QUOTE ] those look like they would be your best betm i would start at the local hardware store...if they dont have them, then i would go to mendards or lowes, or home depot...good luck with the signs! I fold the corners of the poster under so I'm stapling through 2 plies of the sign. then I do all four sides and one smack in the middle.........9 staples in all for each sign. But they'll stay for a year. Your best bet is to buy good (Tyvek) posters. I get mine from a place in Carlisle, PA. They REALLY last.
