Re: New Products for 2006

Yeah I was wondering the same thing about laser ranges finders built into scopes. I looked into the Swarovski LRF scope several years ago but like AJ said it was heavy and a bit awkward. I have since bought the Swarovski 8x30 LRF for my ranging needs( gave my Leica 1200's to my father ...great by the way) and just picked up a Swarovski 20x60x80 High Definition spotting scope. Yes they are exspensive , but they are top quality.

Life is good, Give God the Glory....doubleA

So the browning t-bolt is going to be re-released, might have to at least look at one of those.

Is the Super-X rifle a BAR in winchester clothes? similar to the way the Browning Gold and Super X shotguns are very close realtives?

That Savage varminter sounds interesting...

I did not take that close of a look at it, but I would suspect that it is a BAR.

Here are some more new things for 2006:

Rifles

Benelli - Adding the comfort technology to their R1 semi auto rifle.

CZ - Releasing left handed versions of the 452 American rimfire guns.

Ammo

Winchester - releasing a new bullet in the Supreme Elite line of ammo called the XP3 bullet. It has a bonded core, polymer tip, boat tail, and Lubalox coating. It will be available in multiple offerings.

Optics

Zeiss - Releasing the 6-24x72mm Victory Diavari in the USA. It has a huge 34mm tube and gives an exit pupil of 12mm at 6x and 10.2mm at 10x. I am sure it will not be cheap.

I'm a big fan of Zeiss scopes but that scope is ridiculous for any North American big game hunting. Its about 3k also.
