6sixpoint_nobrows Posted December 4, 2005 Report Share Posted December 4, 2005 Re: Late deer for the cold well depends...can you bait an area...if you can dump a bunch of corn in an area just in yout affective ranch with your muzzeloader and just wait....its late season so the deer are looking for food....so you supply them with a food source and hunt it....but if you cant use bait, then set up on a trail leading from a bedding area to a feeding area so you can intercept them thats mainly were you will find your big bucks..also remember the second rut....28 days after the first one! good luck! Dec.3 i sat along the field in the woods over looking an acorn tree about 150 yards down in the wods.
