Guest MarylandQDMA Posted December 5, 2005 Report Share Posted December 5, 2005 well sat. morning I spotted a good buck (130/140 class), never offered a shot, got down wind and picked my sent up, as he ran off, he had these two does with him, so that afternoon, I sat up where I had seen them that am. well the two does cams in about 4:30, with a Button buck, they hung out for a wile, and I held off hopping the buck would show, after 20 min. or so, the does started to walk away, so I let them have it. the first one got a neck shot, and the other in the lungs. two good does. oh ya the ones a piebald! injoy the pict. I plan on having a wall rug made (same thing as a bear skin rug). the head will be mounted, and the hide (body and legs) will be placed on felt. this is the second piebald taken, I shot this one about a mile from where the first one was taken buy my buddy. I shot the piebald first, (she was the farist one from me) after shooting her the other doe stood there wondering what just happen, so I reloaded as fast as I could, and as the second doe started to quickly walk away (slow run) I wisled to stop her and poped her. maybe 2 min. between shots. I was told that you allways want to shoot the one farist away first, the close one wont know where the shot came from and the first one down gave it a distraction wile I could reload. I have had that happen more then once! glad you like! the "normal" doe I aged at 1.5 years old. the piebald will have to wate untill the taxedermest skins it out. (pic)... two words: speed loader! right noe it is shotgun season but I can't shoot my 12 ga. to save my life. so I use my 50 cal encore. as you can see Im deadly with it. next year I plan on having a 20ga. slug barrel for it. Tubes already loaded with pellets or powder, bullet and primer? They help. You da man... too many steps for me to go through under pressure in less than 2 minutes!
