Re: 2 for 2 with same trap

He did have some pretty good cutters on him, and if he could have gotta to me, he would have used them. He was not a happy hog this morning, when I was putting him from the trap into the trailer.

Wild hogs taste just like any other pork, other than it will not have as much fat on the cuts.

So what do you do once you load them in the trailer? Do you take them to the butcher like a domestic hog?

I just thought a .22 would take care of the job..

If we can catch a few more larger hogs this week, then they will go to a buying station about 25 miles from our place so that the trip will be worth our time. If we don't catch any more bigger hogs, then he will go into the freezer for a future BBQ grin.gif

So do you just shoot them once they're in the trap?

We always take the hogs out of the traps alive, it doesn't matter if we are going to eat them or not grin.gif. If you shoot a hog in the trap and then get all the blood on the ground, it will be awhile before another hog will enter the trap.
