bghunter777
I was out glassing an area on the farm I hunt that I have seen a group of 2.5 year olds about 4 of them the largest being probably a 120 class 8pt tonight at about ten till 5 the first buck comes out what at first I just think it is a nice half rack that I have not seen yet this year. After careful inspection it was the 120 class 8 pt now about a 50 class 4pt. this seems early to me maybe the cold weather has something to do with this. my first thought was the late season does not even come in for a few more days and with a doe tag in my pocket that I always save for the late season. I better be real careful I do not take a huge management doe that mite be one of my bucks.

double_drop
Re: Deer in Pa dropping antlers They are dropping sheds here in Iowa as well. A group shot 3 bucks without antlers last weekend thinking they were does.
LETMGROW
Re: Deer in Pa dropping antlers What do they have to use for tags on these? Just curious. If this happened to me I'd be accused of knocking the horns off so I could use a doe tag!

LeafWiper
Re: Deer in Pa dropping antlers Well just thought id let everyone in PA know i was hunting monday the first day of the late archery/muzzleloader season and found a nice 8pt shed while walking to my stand. This is the earliest ive ever found a shed. For those who hope to fill their tag on a big doe take the extra second to make sure it is in fact a doe. Good luck to all!
