tedicast Posted December 26, 2005 Report Share Posted December 26, 2005 I got a Garmin Etrex Legend GPS for Christmas. I want to buy some topo software for it. Looking at the the Map Source US Topo software. Is this any good? Will this allow me to print maps with my stand sights and other info on them? I have no experience with any of this at all, and I don't want to waste the money on tope software, as it isn't cheap, and not be able to do what I want. Thanks in advance. For the hunter its great! I even have the GPS co-ordinates written down on them just in case something goes wrong for when I dont return in time. This way the wife knows where to find me!!! She can just give these numbers to the local EMS and they will know right where I am! Lets just hope she will never have to use them!!! But if you are pretty much are set on the land you hunt or a few counties that you may hunt....I would'nt buy the software.. waste of money..Just call the DNR for some good topo maps of the land you are are intersted in... a $6 map will cover around 40 square miles or so.......
