Jeramie
I may pick up a new bow this year. I was at BP the other day and decided to look at Reflex bows. They seem to be pretty clean for 300-400. The parker bows didnt seem to bad either but their limbs werent very wide?! Anyone have any imput that I might find useful? Good bows, alright bows, RUN? Gator
Re: Reflex and Parker bows? I think hutchies can speak on the Parkers. But personally, I don't know that I would buy a bow from Bass Pro to be honest with you.
rockefeller66
Re: Reflex and Parker bows? I don't know much about either bow sorry to say, I know some people use them and have great luck with them.

But personally, I don't know that I would buy a bow from Bass Pro to be honest with you. [/ QUOTE ] Sure can..........It cut the serving before 75 shots. I called Parker and they said Oh just have it reserved then. So I did.....Within 25 shots it had cut back thru and was cutting the bowstring itself. THE BEST THING I DID WAS BUY IT FROM BASS PRO. READ THAT LAST LINE AGAIN. I walked in and talked to the archery manager 5 minutes later I had a full refund and within an hour I had a brand new bow. Parker-----never again. Their lucky I still shoot their Supercarbons arrows that they make. Bass Pro-------Awesome customer service and I have never had a problem there. hutchies
Re: Reflex and Parker bows? BTW---------This was on their Phoenix 32. Supposed to be top of the line bow that is comparable to the switchback and other top sellers.
VtBowhunter
Re: Reflex and Parker bows? When it comes to narrow limbs, I find that the bows with such limbs tend to be a bit more jumpy upon the shot. Of course I'm judging this off my experience with Renegade bows and a very limited experience shooting a friends Parker. With Reflex you get Hoyt's 3/4" split limbs for better structural durability, but they take some getting used to.

Not one problem! Lifetime warranty, no worries! They will fix it for free unless I break it! Ill bet I have over 1000 shots by now!

preacherman
Re: Reflex and Parker bows? Had a buddy of mine that sold Parkers and he said that he had alot of returns on them. I know that Reflex is made by Hoyt, so if you want to spend around the $400 range, then I would go and look at some thing like the Hoyt Ultra Mag. These are great bows without the big price. I think the bare bow runs are $399 around here. It would definitely be worth taking a look at.
NY_Bowhunter14
Re: Reflex and Parker bows? i bought a Reflex Excursion for $430... and it had 6 carbon express arrows Trophy Taker Rest Peep Sight (I kept my old Sights and Quiver) btw. I had killed two deer w/ this bow in two years... This bow is VERY fast and very accurate, I love the Excursion!
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Reflex and Parker bows? Jeramie I have a Reflex Buckskin and love it, no problems with it. Shoots smooth and quiet. You get alot of bow for the price when you go with Reflex. I would check out their line of bows. Good luck on your choice!

RDNKHNTR77
Re: Reflex and Parker bows? i had a reflex gamegetter and it is a great shooting bow for cheap($200-250) shot about 290 fps with carbons.
Guest deerhntnwithdogs
Re: Reflex and Parker bows? I love parker I shoot mathews now but I used to have a parker and never had a single problem with it. Reflex is made by Hoyt but Parker is disontinued Mathews bows, If the Ultra lite 31 looks familiar to all you veterans it should... its the MQ-31 with a new name slapped on it. I love parker and mathews both and would definetly reccomend parker over reflex but thats just me.

Guest tyshe17
Re: Reflex and Parker bows? I actually work at BPS in Nashville, and shoot a Parker, I would recommend it over the reflex for speed, quietness, and handshock. However go with one of the 2006 bows. The earlier Phoneixs have a problem with cable wear, but I have been shooting the 2006 cam for 3 weeks without it showing wear! Actually parkers leading Cam man use to work for Mathews designing bows which explains their similar appearance. Hope we have been some help, if you have any other questions send me a PM

[ QUOTE ] The earlier Phoneixs have a problem with cable wear [/ QUOTE ] Where is this cable wear everyone talks about? Everytime I get my bow out of the case, I inspect every inch of all the cables. I never see any wear.
Jeramie
Re: Reflex and Parker bows? I got a ton if good unput gang, thanks. Another question, there was one that had a slanted grip, I think it was a Pearson. Anyone had experience with these? As far as setup, I have a proshop I go to in Claremore. They will help with the setup but I am looking at cheaper bows then they carry.
hutchies
Re: Reflex and Parker bows? Jeramie, I think you are talking about the Pearson Pride. RobK had that bow at the last shoot. I shot it a few times. The grip was really comfortable.

huntinsonovagun
Re: Reflex and Parker bows? I personally would go with a Parker. I think they make good bows, but they just haven't taken off yet. I've seriosly considered buying a Phoenix. If you ever draw one of their "EZ draw" bows back, you'll be amazed!! I think the Phoenix is one of the best in their line though. Holler when you get it and we'll go shoot a virtual hunt in Claremore. I love those... Ya know, the more I think about it.....the more I think you should buy my Mathews........ Seriously though, check the classifieds at Archery Talk. I doubt I'll buy a new bow again....just used from AT....
Jeramie
Re: Reflex and Parker bows? We need to do that anyway Ryan! I can shoot the McPherson I have now. There is nothing wrong with the bow, its still in great shape. I just want a new bow.... Yeah, youre Mathews would have about 12" to long of a draw length....
