007hunter
Does anyone else geocache?? I never heard of this before until JimfromPA posted about it in another post. I did some research about it and it looks very interesting and quite fun. So now I'm looking at GPS's on ebay....I was just curious if anyone else does this. Tominator
Re: Geocaching... I know there's a pretty good one set up over at Alum Creek State Park which is real close to where I live, in fact, I go right through it every day at work. I've never done it though. Guest Andrea
Re: Geocaching... Yep, got a couple of friends here at RT that do that and I went ahead and bought me a GPS so I can give it a try. Sounds like a lot of fun. And I think my boys would really enjoy it too. ParrotHead
Re: Geocaching... I've been doing it for years now and love it. With my work I get to travel some - I always take my GPS just in case I've got a few hours to kill.
Jimfrompa
Re: Geocaching... One of the great things about Geocaching is the places you are led to that you never would have found if it wasn't for this sport. You know the places around your home that are of intrest such as parks, lookouts, historic places.ect. Well i don't and probably never will unless i happen to be going by and stop. Geocaching gives you the reason to go to these places and you get exersice, your out in the fresh air, and you learn something new on almost every trip. Do I sound passionate? Well i am. I love this sport.
HuntingInMaine
Re: Geocaching... I love geocaching with my boys....JimT told me about it the end of last summer and we were hooked after finding the our first cache! It's a great way to learn how to use your GPS and the kids get lots of exercise without complaining. lol
Smitteken
Re: Geocaching... Looks like fun. Do they have adult only caches with 12 packs at the end of the trips?
