Its been real dry for me. Take note, a 50lb deer walks by its getting a hurt put on it. Ive been known to thump them on occasion. They taste great and there is nothing wrong with taking a doe out of the herd. Now if you've been having some luck this year (and if you have im heading to Fort Gibson ) then let her walk. (well, this year, i'm shooting at them so far. haven't killed one yet ) if i'm off that land, i'd pass on a fawn. while the meat is excellent on a fawn, there just isn't a whole lot of it.
