HeviShot Posted February 3, 2006 Report Share Posted February 3, 2006 The company that makes hevishot decided that they were going to market there own shell's.I just drove 30 miles for the last of the Remington brand left in the area.The is no Hevishot dealer close to me.So if ya shoot the Remington brand you better go get as much as you can afford.I'm ready for the next 2 or 3 seasons. When Hevishot first came out it was produced and packaged by a company in GA. Didn't pattern worth a hoot in any of my guns. I know some like the advantages of Hevi shot...but I for one dont shoot it...I seen to many damaged guns from it in the first year it came out...I know there have been gun/choke improvments in this field but I cant justify paying over $20.00 for a box...Winchester Supreme #5's are what I shoot and they have performed very well for me over the past 5 years...If I find some...would you like for me to pick them up for ya? However, I haven't seen anything in print and they are advertising the Hevishot loads in Remington's 2006 spring catalogue and on their website. I know I'm gonna shoot some of the Hevi-13 through my daughter's 20 gauge this spring. It loves to be choked. Not like they other Hevishot stuff out there. Think as tight or tighter than you would shoot lead through. I may try some Win Ext. in my Stoeger this spring just to see what it does.
