Nut
My father in law worked for a auto maker and retired with a pension and health care. Well things have gotten horrible for them. My mother in law has had to have a couple surgeries and did everythig the way the insurance company wanted her to. She got 2nd opinions and was pre-approved. So she had the surgeries and the therapies. Well the insurance company decided that they didnt have to pay a dime. They even told my wife that being pre-approved doesnt mean that they will pay. So they are stuck with over 30k in medical bills. Plus my father in law'S medications are getting rougher to be filled. People who have never seen him and are not even a medical doctor are determining what meds he needs. Stinks doesnt it
fisherguy
Re: What are they to do Lawyer time! I suspect a call from a good lawyer will change their tune. my auto insurance company was trying to cheat me after i hit a deer. One 5 minute call from my uncle(a lawyer) and suddenly they were glad to cover every cent. Show them who not to screw with and they will pay. wtnhunt
Re: What are they to do I hate dealing with insurance companies. Dont know what kind of legal rights she would have but would certainly be worth checking into.
archerjg
Re: What are they to do I say contact a lawyer and ask their advice on the situation. That sucks that the insurance does not want to live up to their responsibilities. Archerjg
buckee
Re: What are they to do Insurance companies along with everyone else these days seem to like taking advantage of the elderly. I'd get a lawyer too.
