Guest Racksnbeards
The last two days, I've encountered 8 different tresspassers, I can't get any hunting done for running these guys off. All are from different counties and I've talked to other landowners that have had to run several off. I ask them to leave and not to come back or the authorities will be contacted. All the ground is posted with signs and purple spray paint but that isn't slowing them down. I've visited with all but two, who as soon as they seen me they litterally took off running, I didn't feel like chasing and causing even more commotion in the timber. Most of the guys said that their reason was the ground they use to hunt has been leased or sold. They figured they'd just hunt until they got caught. I told them the next guy may not be as nice as I was. Any body seeing this same problem this year.

MCH
Re: Tresspassers Everywhere I've had two so far this year. One walked right under my stand. I yelled "Hey, you know you're trespassing!?!" After about jumping out of his pants he had the gall to say, "I guess you don't recognize me."!?! I told him it didn't matter whether I recognized him or not, he was still trespassing. Both cases I confronted the trespasser. Me with a bow and them with a gun.... Haven't seen either since. Tominator
Re: Tresspassers Everywhere the people around Danville Ohio seem to be pretty respectful of property rights, which is good. this is only the 2nd season i've been on this property, so i can't really say, but i have not seen a tresspasser this year yet. Jeramie
Re: Tresspassers Everywhere I haven't seen that problem yet this year. It usually starts at rifle season which starts this saturday (20th). Ill be out of town so it really doesn't matter but it is disheartening. A couple of years ago I got the local Warden involved. If you didn't have written permission he would hand you a situation on the spot. Id try the same. Get the authorities involved, less work for you and less for you to worry about. G-Daddy
Re: Tresspassers Everywhere Friends just bought a neighboring farm. There is at least one person that used to hunt that farm that is upset they are losing their hunting ground. So far my friends have found five bucks that were shot and left lay in the two weeks since settlement.
muggs
Re: Tresspassers Everywhere There's a horse farm near the ajoining farms I hunt. They take afternoon rides all over everbody else land. In group of twenty. They actually marked trials on other people property, and really tear the place up. I've run them off several times.
