He had a sever alcohol problem and drug addiction and finally washed up after being fired for something. Google Mark Mathis and you will get his whole history. He supposedly got saved, kicked his addictions, and is working as a weatherman again. The entire cast of the Charlotte fox affiliate he worked at was a semi-comedy hip format. I can't believe I am using the word HIP. But he is a really great guy and I laughed uncontrollably at some of his antics on many of the other clips floating around. Thanks to help from the Lord he made it out of that. He was on the local Christian Radio station talking about how he had turned his life over to Christ. Anyway, I thought the guy was an absolute idiot the first couple times I saw him on TV, but after awhile he really grew on me and I thought he was hilarious! Where did they find that guy? You would think that a prerequisite to reading the weather forecast would be to at least know how to READ!!!
