Jeramie Posted March 10, 2006 Report Share Posted March 10, 2006 I havent had a real physical in YEARS. My new company requires it. I went to MedCenter this morning for the once over. Of course they had to put me with a whole group of beautiful nurses and one beautiful PA. I knew I was in trouble when they said you need to strip down and put on this robe! I thought this was a physical, it was a little more in depth then I had figured. After x-rays (aka, rolling around on a table while two pretty x-ray techs position my legs and hips, etc), hearing test, color test, eye test, weight, height, urine test, etc they send me back to my room. Thank the lord. I didnt like running around in an office full of women in not much more then a hospital gown. I sat there forever when the PA (Phys. Assistant) comes in for the final inspection. She checked the strength in my arms, legs, check for soreness in my stomach. Then she listened to my lungs, breathing, pulse, etc. Not bad, not bad.... Then she says, "We need to check for a Hernia." Im thinking pushing down on my stomach, lower abs.... Negative. More like turn your head an cough but it was a little more in depth then that too... For the first time in my life I was wishing that was a man versus the 25 year old brunette... I need a hot shower and a good cry... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bringing the samples in and handing it to someone who was so young that I was afraid I would have to splain it to her! I know what you mean about the physicals though! I gotta give you props though for going to a woman doctor for a physical......I would be so freaking that my hernia test would have had to be classified for insurance purposes as an internal procedure! Mine was a little more in dept than your, but I won't get into that. Ha Ha But teh sad part I am not done, have to have a colonostomy (sp) soon at the ripe age of 40.
