SuperMn106 Posted March 11, 2006 Report Share Posted March 11, 2006 Well this morning my brothers fiancee called me and said i should take my dog to vet asap that she didnt look right. i keep my dogs with their dogs and they had a field trial this morning. well as soon as the bet opened i took her in and turns out she has parvo. i guess its some type of disease that can kill her so i have to give her medicine and watch her real good. the vet said she should come through because we caught it early enough and she is only 8 months old. so hopefully the vet is right. here are some pics. Be sure your buddy has his dogs checked, and informs all the other dogs owners, that may be congregated together for these field trials. SuperMn106 Posted March 11, 2006 Author Report Share Posted March 11, 2006 Re: My Puppy with pics popgun--yea we made sure we told everyone. all of the other dogs looked normal this morning when i went to get my dog. my brother is gonna check them again tonight when he gets back from the trial. my brother gave my dog along with his dogs every shot they have had/need, so im thinking she got it but im not sure. i really dont know that much about parvo but my brother and his fiancee had one of their pups about a year ago die because of it so she noticed the signs right away. We used to have beagles her and raised several litters of puppies from them. Ours were all standard and excellent rabbit hounds. Here is some information on Parvo if you are interested. PAhardwoods Posted March 12, 2006 Report Share Posted March 12, 2006 Re: My Puppy with pics pullin for your pup i recently lost a very young pup to parvo she was only 9 weeks and it was to much for her lil body to handle the most important thing you can do before your pup comes back is clean EVERYTHING she came in touch with with a bleach water solution and your gonna have to spray the yard where she does her buisness with a stronger mix of bleach and water then you used in the house parvo can live in the ground for up to a year!! Jazz (her name) is doing about the same, she hasnt gotten worse but she still wont eat and she keeps vomiting the medicine that i give her so i am taking her back to the Vet asap in the morning.
