Randyman
Anyone else a fan of the Food Network? I find myself watching more and more these days. I really like Paula Deen, Emeril Lagasse, Giada De Laurentiis and Rachel Ray. Paula is probably my favorite, she is down to Earth and is always cooking something Southern and Yummy looking! I have learned a lot of little tricks from watching, and my Wife and i like to try recipes we've gotten from watching. Cooking together is a great way to spend some time with each other, something that is in short supply with the demands of a growing family pulling us each in 5 different directions at once! Any other fans out there?

Guest Andrea
Re: The Food Network Paula Deen is my all time favorite. I like her so much I went all the way to Savannah to eat lunch at her restaurant. She wasn't there but her sons Bobby and Jamie were. Tominator
Re: The Food Network I used to watch a little of it. Emeril gets old after awhile. I just don't like his style of cooking. Bobby Flay is cool, I like his cooking, but he comes off as pretty arrogant IMHO. Malto Mario is good, but he cooks with stuff that sometimes isn't all that available. That Japanese cooking contest show Iron Chef is flat out hilarious! The dubbed in voices are so ridiculous it's funny.
slugshooter
Re: The Food Network My fiance got pretty big into watching it awhile back, which, I'll admit I got into it myself also. Her favorite was Alton Brown, he always seemed to be able to take a lot of the guess work and make cooking a little more simpler. I myself can't stand Rachel Ray, she gets on my nerves. Emeril is OK in moderation, the Iron Chef America show was pretty good, better than the Japanese version. I like Unwrapped, isn't necessarily a cooking show but it's neat to see where some of your favorite foods originated.
