SuperMn106
i will be the first to admit i do not know much about bows. I have a Bowtech Mighty Mite. Last year i was shooting good groups but the arrows were going in on an angle. I also have a whisker biscuit rest and it would pull the fletchings off my arrow. It is about 3 or 4 years old. Would it be time for a new string? My brother told me to paper tune it. I guess my question is, If i take it to a Pro Shop would should i have them do to it? any help would be appreciated. SuperMn106
Re: Help with my bow Thanks, does anyone know if i decide to get a new bow, if a bow shop would take a trade in to drop the cost of a new bow?
dogdoc
Re: Help with my bow sounds to me like your bow just needs a good tune job. There are several sites on the web that will explain paper tuning and bare shaft tuning but personally I'd take it to a pro-shop and get some professional help. As far as trading in your bow on a new one it just depends on the proshop--a lot of them will take trade-ins. good luck todd
maddhunter
Re: Help with my bow Most of them will if they deal in used bows. But don't expect to get much on trade, maybe enough to cover the taxes if your lucky. As far as your bow, I would have a good shop inspect the string and limbs and check the camber if it's a 2 cam bow.

Guest PAT_PATTERSON
Re: Help with my bow I must agree with just about everyone here, new strings and cables, center shot reset, new peep, string loop if you use one would work wonders on your bow. 3 years old is still fairly new technology and speed should not be a factor. But if ya want a new bow??? I suggest you go shopping and shooting!!!
SuperMn106
Re: Help with my bow well i took it in and the guy said it should be a cpl days, when i first bought the bow i had it at 55 lbs and i was gettin 250 fps. so not too bad. i dont shoot high poundage cuz i am partially disabled, i have a cross bow permit but it just seems to easy with a cross bow and i can shoot a compound. my elbow has been dislocated for about 9 years. i had surgery on a fractured and dislocated elbow and it didnt work. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Help with my bow I don't think you need a new bow you just need it checked over and tuned up by a pro shop. Sounds like you have a good bow there, just needs to be checked over and get you shooting straight again. I see your from my state and you should be able to find a good pro shop in your area. Good luck and tell us what they found!
