Guest tyshe17
I wrote about this in my journal, but figured I could mention it here as well...to get some sympathy. The 3-d I shot this weekend was a "warm-up" for turkey season. That turned out to mean there were 14 turkey targets out of 20. The easiest shot of the whole tournament was the first which was a small mckenzie deer at about 27 yards. that was the biggest 10 ring all day as well. No shots were inside of 25 yards, and several turkeys at 38+. Needless to say scores were really low...and mine was no different . Anyways I had fun, and unlike some people who said "You can bet I will be skipping this weekend next year" I want to try it again. Also, one last thing. There were 3 seated shots, and I really had to fight to get the back tension release to go off naturally like that...any tips?

Hoyt03
Re: turkey 3d shoot Yeah those 3d mackenzie turkeys give me fits whether they are strutting or just normal, and at those yardages I bet there were alot of fives going around. [/ QUOTE ] Punch it! Sounds like a rough tourney. Around our area you just about guess the winning score depending upon how many turkeys are on the course.
