Swamphunter
Got the go ahead from the wife to purchase the Switchback!! Now I just have to decide whether to go with the LD or the XT. The LD has a 9"brace height as compared to the 7 1/2 of the Switchback. My proshop guy says that guys are ordering the LD because it is better with heavy hunting clothes?? The draw length is adjustable for what I need. What are the pro's and cons?? Thanks
Guest deerhntnwithdogs
Re: Green light! Ive never shot the LD Ill shoot it at the shop in about a half an hour when I go up there and then If I see any differences Ill let ya know. I know that the LD is better for thick clothes and things like that. The LD is a specialty bow for people with long drawws though. If your 30" or over that would be your best bet also if you shoot fingers that will be your best bet. Ill check the specs and shoot it at the shop in a while though. -Chase
Tominator
Re: Green light! Good deal Ken. I'd suggest shooting both the XT and LD and see what you like the best.
buckee
Re: Green light! Sounds great Ken. It sounds like the LD is a more forgiving bow. What's your draw length??

VtBowhunter
Re: Green light! Ken, my guess would be that you would sacrifice speed and KE in exchange for a more forgiving bow with the LD......whereas the XT would be a bit less forgiving, but faster with higher KE. maddhunter
Re: Green light! I'd check out other shops even if you have to drive a ways to pick up the bow. You can always get it serviced at the local shop. And if he gives you heck about it because you didn't buy it from him, just give Mathews a call and they will take care of him if he really wants to sell thier bows. You can drive a long ways for $150. You could make a day of it and take the familly.

dg
Re: Green light! I don't know the pros and cons except a higher brace should allow the clothes clearance. But anyway, CONGRATS!
