Guest tyshe17
I am looking at putting a new string on my bow. I have realized how big of an issue string stretch is. Mine slowly strecthes till I am shooting down 3-6 pounds from where I was. this obviously affects my pin gap and point of impact. I have learned to fix it by putting more twist in the buss cables, but would rather just not have the problem at all. So, here is my question Have yall noticed this same problem, has getting an after market string fixed it, what all different strings have you used, and any praises or complaints on the different strings. The 3 I have looked at are Zebra's Hybrid and Baracuda, and Winners Choice. The WC are just so much more expensive I am wondering if there is really that big of a difference. Whatever I end up doing I am going to replace both string and buss cable. Thanks for any help. Ty She
MCH
Re: replacement strings I don't have any experience with the Zebra's or the Baracuda's. Now as far as the Winner's Choice goes, they're great. I put one on last year and experienced absolutely no stretch at all! I will be buying WC from now on. hutchies
Re: replacement strings Might also give Vaportrails a try.........I hear they are awesome. Alot of guys on AT are using strings made by BuckNasty. He is on AT if you give him a holler I hear he is pretty cheap on price with good quality. Tony
Re: replacement strings if you not going to spend the dough to get WC strings, then get Vaportrails. i have WC on my Flame Protec and they are super . i just love them, but they jumped in price a bunch this year. on my camo Protec i just got, the strings are made from a guy on AT. the strings were on the bow when i got it. they seem to be as good a quality as WC. here is his AT name. you can look him up there under it and send him a private message. miko0618 (Firstring custom strings) stay away from the Zebra and Barracuda strings way to much string stretch. ultratec1
Re: replacement strings Whenever I get a new bow I don't even shoot the original strings I order winners choice. However the next time I order strings I think that I will order a set of Neely's. They are made from the ORIGINAL owner of winners choice and they have so far been shooting good for a buddy of mine.
