Muff Posted April 21, 2006 Report Share Posted April 21, 2006 Well as most of you know I am a volunteer fire man here in our small community.We got a call wednesday evening for a grass fire.....by the time I got there it was out (very small fire) anyway I help put some water on some hot spots and that was about it....everyone was packing up to go so I put some things away and headed home....Well I guess just as I was leaving one of our men took a heart attack....he never came back. he will be buried with full fireman honor guard and will be carried to the church and grave yard on our 1954 pumper. Well I just got back from the wake....lots of fire fighters there....from as far away as Toronto...thats about a 2 1/2 hour drive.....anyway we have been told to get ready for as many as 700 to show up here tomorrow.
