Re: Scents?

i used to use the earth scent wafers...but i wear scentblocker clothing and i learned you are not suppose to wear those with carbon clothing....so now i just spray the white lighting on....i wash in the scentblocker detergent....then put in a scent free bag until use...when i am done they go right back into the bag...and most impotantly i don't dress at home...i wait until i get to m spot and dress there

Re: Scents?

I try to be as scent free as possible, I use baking soda along with a wildlife detergent with out UV brighteners to wash my clothes in, store them in large zip locks and dress in the woods. I use a scent blocker suit when it's cold but can't in the early part of our season in FL because of the heat. I wear a base layer of X-Scent, and a leafy camo bug suit most of the time for the early season. I wear rubber boots and try to find either mud or water source to walk in before I go out to my stand to mask any odors on my boots.

Personally I believe the more attention you pay to your hygiene and keep your body temp down to prevent over heating the better off you are. I try not to introduce any other foreign scent that would alert a deer.

during the rut periods I don't use a lot of scents or attractants for the same reasons.

Last I always try to play the wind and hunt certain areas when the wind is only from certain directions.
