Re: Feeder

Are you making the ones that strap to the side of the tree and are gravity feed?

If you have time and money think about a mechanical feeder. This way you save on corn and having to fill it all the time plus if you have it set for certain times of the day maybe you can pin point the deer movement better. If its gravity they can get they at any time of the day. With a mechanical its like a dinner bell going off and they may want to get there to beat the birds, racoons, squirrels, turkeys, etc.

Cabela's usually has timers for around $30 or $40.00. Buy a galvanized garbage can or find a big barrel and add some legs. I am sure you can find some ideas online.

Sometimess at Moultries web site they have deals on feeders, usually older models or scratch and dent models. Try there to if you want to buy instead of build.

Good luck and have fun in the woods this year!
