drkillemquick
I put a team into our local Relay for Life, a 12 hour walking relay from 7pm to 7am on the weekend. My team raised 1400$, and our event raised $344, 000 for cancer research. what a great event and what a fun time, I don't know if they run this in the states or not but I would encourage any body in participating in this if it happens near you! MCH
Re: Relay for Life Our local relay for life event raised over $100,000. Our small town actually beat Oklahoma City on funds raised. We're talking city population of 5,000 and county of 45,000. Not sure on our team total but I know we beat our goal of $2,500.
drkillemquick
Re: Relay for Life This was our first year putting in a team, and we are pumped now for next year. We live near a town of 30,000 and we finished fifth in all of Ontario for funds raised going against much larger centers like Toronto, Ottawa, kingston etc.

Gus
Re: Relay for Life My mom has put together a team for the last two years. Last year our team raised $4800 and this year we raised $8000. Our team also won the prize for the best campsite and most money for a team our first two outings, hope to do the same next year also
