I think I've messed up more deer then attracted with scent so I stay away from it until the rut is really hot, then only a little.. You have to admit, there is no way to get a man made or man extracted product to smell just like the natural, "just made or laid down" by a deer smell. It could of been just "not right" for them at that time. Not every deer is curious either. Some "dont' play dat", if you know what I mean...
