Sometimes a small 4x4 will be fully developed by now but monster bucks may still be trying to get its width started. I seen the start of a monster the other day. If I didn't know what buck it was from last year I would never have known. All he had was his main beams and just barely the start of his tines, but there was no mistaking his LONG mainbeams and his five tines on each side. 6sixpoint_nobrows Posted July 7, 2006 Report Share Posted July 7, 2006 Re: How big are the Bucks? i agree...its still a little early to tell...if he is getting the right nutrition then he should be getting about a half inch of antler per day...if he is getting more too eat then maybe more than that up to 3/4 inch a day....but thats a really healthy deer..if you had a pic of him i could throw a rough estimate on what he might be...
