coles Posted July 19, 2006 Report Share Posted July 19, 2006 yesterday i went up to my girlfriends house and she lives right at the foot of the mountains. we went on a drive up to the mountains and i found this water hole and went to see if there was any bear tracks around it. there wasnt but it was solid elk tracks all the way around and its a perfect spot to put my pop up blind. last year her brother shot a bull that scored 355 up there not a mile from there.and her cousin finds tons of 6x6 and 7x7 shed pairs in their haystack just a couple miles from there. i can hunt with a bow for either sex but i put in for a rifle either sex tag up there to. so if i get that im set. my girlfriends mom and dad both hunt and so does her uncles so ill be in good shape for a good bull. but the only thing is there is tons of grizzly bears up there. last night we saw 2 and the other day was saw one huge boar. probably weighed 900lbs. Shot a buffalo a couple of years ago and a grizzly paid a visit to the ranch during the night. We had them hanging in a locked shed and he dug a real nice hole trying to get in!
