bigbearguy
After weeks of debating I finally decided to get the Moultrie cam from Cabelas yesterday, since they were on sale at the Hamburg, PA store. I was a little hesitant after hearing some negative responses about the Moultries in general. Anyhow, I set the cam up inside my house last night just to test it out since this is my first camera. The trigger speed seems rediculously slow, at least 10 seconds. Next question since the instructions are pretty vague, how do I get to see the pics on a TV. I hooked up the TV cord that came with the camera, then the directions say to have it in "set up" mode, which I did, and then use the up and down arrows so scroll through the pics. Nothing happened, it took 5 pics, but I can't figure out how to view them. I also tried using the USB cable, with the same results. Any help on how I go about veiewing my pics would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
wtnhunt
Re: Cabelas 4.1 Outfitter Cam Dont know about the tv, probably have to have your set, set on the av inputs for the jack you have your camera connected to. As for the trigger, that is way too slow, you will be missing any deer that may walk in front of the cam with a trigger that slow unless you have it setup on a mineral station or food plot. I would take it back. 10 seconds is just entirely too long.
Guest outdoor_adventurer
Re: Cabelas 4.1 Outfitter Cam i have one of those and mine is better than what you are saying it is! it gets the job done for me! about your tv problem... keep the camera turned off ( when you turn it on it automatically goes to set-up mode), plug in the cord to the tv, make sure you have it turned to the correct input channel and then turn on your camera. the pics will come up and then use the up and down keys to change pics! bigbearguy
Re: Cabelas 4.1 Outfitter Cam I am returning my cam to Cabelas tomorrow. Do you guys think I should get another one of these, or something else in the $150 range, Bushnell Trail Sentry 2.1 mp or Stealth WD2? NEIOWAARCHER
Re: Cabelas 4.1 Outfitter Cam I have one of these cams and it works great. I was a little worried also when I set mine up in the house too. but in the outdoors I don't think I missed a thing. I can tell you though that no matter what camera you get you better figure out the computer veiwing options. Much easier and can be saved for years, not days. If you do return you better look for something bigger than 2.1, Reselution can make the difference..
wtnhunt
Re: Cabelas 4.1 Outfitter Cam If I were you, I would step up to the leaf river without the viewer screen. Think cabelas has them down considerably from where they were when they first hit the market.
LifeNRA
Re: Cabelas 4.1 Outfitter Cam I think setting up inside the house is one thing, but you you never tried it outside in an area. But its probably too late now anyways. Good luck. I live too far away to have one of these camera's. It would kill me to pay the gas money all the time to drive back and forth! The wife would kill me too!
