Nick Posted November 29, 2004 Report Share Posted November 29, 2004 Well already having 3 in the bag, including 2 bucks with my bow, I headed up north. My uncle invites me up to his hunting lease on the weekends when I can go. I usually go eventhough the hunting usually isnt worth a dang just so he isnt up there by himself. I got in the gun shack furthest away from camp last Sunday evening. I usually go to this one just because its so secluded and I like the scenery. About an hour before dark I seen deer coming through the woods along the edge of the river. It looks like a yearling, 1 1/2, and 2 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 year old does came out. The two younger ones went to the bait pile and the 2 big ones headed into the grass the cows had mowed down off to my right. I decided to do some herd management and harvet the biggest of the 4 does. She stopped at about 80 yards off to my right and the 30-06 found its mark right behind the shoulder and she ran 15-20 yards. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
